HIDDEN fortunes of Guildford residents are set to be unveiled as BBC antiques TV show Flog It! comes to the town.

Guildford Cathedral will be the venue for the popular BBC2 programme, presented by Paul Martin, on January 31.

Residents are invited to dust off the clutter in their lofts and bring it to the show's valuation day at the Stag Hill venue.

Caroline Simcox, events director at Guildford Cathedral, said "We are very much looking forward to welcoming BBC Flog It! to this wonderful Cathedral here in the heart of Surrey"

Up to three antiques or collectibles can be brought for a free valuation and items selected  for selling will go under the hammer at Bellmans Auctioneers and Valuers in West Sussex on February 22.

Louise Hibbins, series producer said: "Paul Martin and the entire Flog It! team are really pleased to be bringing the show to Surrey.

"Guildford Cathedral will provide the perfect setting for our valuation day event, it is a stunning location with a fascinating history - our experts are all looking forward to offering people the chance to have their items valued in such impressive surroundings.

"We all hope you will join us for a free valuation, if you've ever wondered how much your boot sale bargains or clutter in the loft might be worth, now is your chance to find out."

Flog It! will be at Guildford Cathedral, Stag Hill, on Thursday January 31 between 10am and 4:30pm.
