Sally Pritchett, director, Something Big, says: "We believe there's more to running a successful business than simply having happy customers so we also like to give back to our local community. Which is why, this time last year, we made a pact to get more involved with worthwhile causes right here on our doorstep; and that's exactly what we've done. In total, the Something Big team has given over 80 hours of their time and raised much needed funds to support an array of good causes. I'm very proud of their hard work and commitment and hope we can continue to do the same in 2012."
In 2011 Something Big supported the following worthwhile causes in the following ways:
Children's charity Disability Challengers – taking part in their business quiz, sponsored run and sponsored walk as well as joining up as corporate members of the Challengers Champions Business Club and helping them design and print their corporate leaflet.
Woking's award-winning gallery and museum The Lightbox – working with the team to design, produce and print their latest what's on brochure.
Registered wildlife charity Surrey Wildlife Trust – becoming a gold corporate partner and in turn helping to support the trust's great work conserving all forms of wildlife in Surrey.
Budding racing driver Jenson Newbury of Jenson Racing – sponsoring a highly talented eight-year-old racing driver in a bid to help fulfil his dreams to be as brilliant as his Formula One namesake, Jenson Button.
Sally Pritchett, director, Something Big, adds: "In recognition of these achievements and to top off the year, we invited representatives from each organisation to attend our December team meeting where everyone enjoyed mulled wine and mince pies and a well-deserved pat on the back."
