Chi Lewis-Parry is set to return to the Guildford Heat, it has been announced.
The player last played for the club in 2008 before embarking on a career in mixed martial arts.
"After the ups and downs that we've had this season, I felt it important that we get cover at the forward position," said coach Creon Raftopoulos.
"Chi is a great utility player who we can count on at the defensive end, and will contribute to rebounding which is key to our success."
Lewis-Parry is a player that is much needed for the Flames as his defensive style of play would have come in handy in the first half of the season when the team went through a miserable run of losses. 2012 has seen their fortunes change though, with four wins out of five games.
"Returning to the Guildford Heat is like a homecoming for me," said Lewis-Parry.
"I hated the way things were left on my departure in 2008 and wanted to come back and rectify things with Guildford's wonderfully loyal fans. This time I'll be here to the end."
His first game will be on the 12th February against the Mersey Tigers.
