Fisherman's Friends' Trevor Grills funeral service

A FUNERAL service for Trevor Grills, the Fisherman's Friends singer who died after a large metal door fell on him at G Live in Guildford, is to be held today.

Mr Grills, 54, of Port Isaac, North Cornwall, died at St George's Hospital, south London, two days after sustaining critical injuries from the falling door on Sunday February 9. Tour manager Paul McMullen, 44, also died in the incident.
A funeral service for Mr Grills is due to take place in St Endellion, North Cornwall, at 2pm today (Friday, February 22).
The church is expected to be packed to capacity as loved ones and well-wishers pay an emotional farewell to the sea shanty singer.
Meanwhile Surrey Police and Guildford Borough Council have said they are still working with the Health and Safety Executive in an investigation into the incident.
The London Road concert hall's metal loading bay door which was involved has since been removed.
