GCSE results day in Guildford

Students across Guildford have been celebrating another highly successful GCSE results day.

16-year-olds across the country will have had a nervy morning as they awaited the results but the overall picture across the country is another positive one. One in four entries scored at least an A grade.

Here's a breakdown of some selected schools:

George Abbot School - 71% of entries got at least five A*-C grades including Maths and English and 38% of entries receiving an A and A*.

Guildford County School75% of entries got at least five A*-C grades including Maths and English and 33% of entries receiving an A and A*.

Royal Grammar School100% of entries got at least five A*-C grades including Maths and English and around 95% of entries receiving an A and A*.

St. Peters Catholic School - 77% of entires got at least five A*-C grades with around 28% of entries receiving an A and A*.

Tormead School 99% of entries got at least five A*-C grades including Maths and English and 82% of entries receiving an A and A*.
