Guildford Book Festival 2012 launches with star line-up

FAMOUS writers and celebrities will be taking part in Guildford Book Festival 2012 which launches today (October 18).

Judy Finnigan will be talking about her new book, Eloise on October 22 in The Electric Theatre.

BBC broadcaster Gavin Esler will talk about crafting stories on October 23 at The Electric Theatre.
The ten-day celebration of literature features some of Britain's finest authors and household names discussing everything from fiction, history and biography to comedy, current affairs and crime. Children can also look forward to some colourful events.
The line-up includes writer and comedian Sandi Toksvig, ex-ITN newscaster John Suchet, actor and comedy writer Ben Miller, BBC Arts Editor Will Gompertz and writer, navigator and explorer Tristan Gooley.
The programme also features popular crime writer Peter James, daytime television presenter Judy Finnigan, botanist, gardener and broadcaster James Wong, comedy writer and novelist Kathy Lette and novelist and stand-up comedian Jenny Eclair.
Workshops, exhibitions and other festival events will take place during the festival.
Events are being staged at The Electric Theatre, in Onslow Street, G Live, in London Road, the Adult Learning Centre, in Sydenham Road as well as other venues.
