Guildford schools make the grade in new league tables

GUILDFORD schools have performed well in league tables released today (Thursday, January 24).
Guildford High School was among several establishments in Surrey scoring 100 per cent in pupils achieving five or more grades of A to C.
The independent school also performed well in AS/A-Level results, with an average score per student of 1021.5.
St Catherine's School in Bramley also did well scoring 1094.8.
Nationally the league tables show that the percentage of pupils achieving 5 or more A to C grades at GCSE has risen from 58.2 to 59.4%.
