A GRANDMOTHER from Guildford is among witnesses who claim to have spotted Megan Stammers, the schoolgirl who went missing after running away with her teacher.

Megan Stammers went missing for a week and was found on Friday (September 28) in France.
The 15-year-old, who was found safe and well today (September 28) in Bordeaux, France, had been missing since September 21 after running away with maths teacher Jeremy Forrest.
Detectives received several reports of possible sightings, one of which Surrey Police confirmed was from a caller from Bramley, near Guildford, who said she had spotted the teenager in Paris.
Brigitte Ripley, 73, told The Sun newspaper she spotted Megan and Forrest walking together in Paris on Sunday.
She said she saw them together walking down the Champs-Elysees.
She told The Sun: "I'm as sure as I can be it was Megan. She was in front of me, a youngish girl with long, dark hair. She seemed fine.
"They were just like anyone else walking around in Paris. They looked like tourists.
"I didn't make the connection until I picked up the Daily Telegraph the next day.
"I had to say something. As soon as I told my husband he phoned the police."
The information was handed to Sussex Police.
BBC's Crimewatch aired an appeal on television for help to trace Megan last night. A European arrest warrant was also issued to catch Forrest.
Sussex Police said information which led to the pair being located came as a result of media coverage in France.
Mr Forrest, 30, has been arrested on suspicion of child abduction.
