Man charged in connection with Guilfest assault

A GUILDFORD man has been charged in connection with an assault on a father as he left Guilfest with his family.

James Alexander Wallington, 32, has been charged with grievous bodily harm.
Peter Hart, 40, suffered serious head injuries after being attacked in front of his wife and 16-month-old son in King's Road at 6.30pm on July 13.
He was in a critical condition in hospital and has since been released but police said he faces a long recovery.
James Alexander Wallington, 32, of Great Goodwin Drive, Bushy Hill, was charged today (August 31) with grievous bodily harm.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before South West Surrey Magistrates Court on Saturday, September 1.
