Man charged following Guildford road rage incident

A MAN accused of a road rage incident which left a car windscreen smashed has been charged and is due to appear before magistrates.

Police were called to Westborough in Guildford after a man smashed a car windscreen.
Martin Chatfield, 29, has appeared before magistrates in Guildford charged with causing criminal damage to a car and a public order offence of causing fear of violence.
Mr Chatfield, of Derby Road, Guildford is due to appear via video link at Redhill Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, January 8).
Police attended Northway in the Westborough area of Guildford at around 6pm on Saturday, December 8 last year, following a report that a man jumped out of a red Peugeot 206 and jumped onto the windscreen of another car.
The windscreen of a silver Ford Focus was smashed as a result.
