New Years 2011 in Guildford

With New Years fast approaching, we at Guildford People thought you'd quite like a guide of what's happening in Guildford if you're still deciding where to go if you're going out. Obviously there are many celebrations happening in pubs and bars and so forth but here are some of the highlights from the bunch...

The Mandolay Hotel is hosting its annual New Years celebrations. £18 will buy you a ticket to their NYE party (including celebratory drink) whilst a gala dinner will set you back £65. The Boileroom is hosting a 1940s themed celebration. Among the entertainment is a live six-piece swing band and there's much, much more including burlesque and a pop-up hair salon on the night (e-mail lydia@theboileroom.net to book an appointment). Tickets are £15. Call 01483 440022 for more info.

The Radisson Edwardian hotel in Guildford is one of the newer NYE hotspots and it's hosting a 5-course dinner, champagne on arrival and after-dinner party with DJ for £75 per person. Book your tickets on 01483 792302.

Remember if you do plan on going out to stay safe and if you plan to get a taxi make sure it's one that has been registered with the local council.
