The supermarket chain Aldi is sparking a big debate in Burpham as they get ready unveil their latest plans for a new branch in the area this week.

The exhibition, which will showcase the plans in full, will be held at the Sutherland Memorial Hall in Burpham Lane from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday (19th July).

A survey was created by Burpham resident Ingrid Cold (she is behind the @Burpham Twitter account) to get an idea of people's opinions and, as of the 13th July, opinion was said to be split; 53% are for Aldi building a new supermarket whilst 47% are against the plans.

Are you a Burpham resident? Are you in favour of these plans or not? Are you planning to head to the Sutherland Memorial Hall on Thursday? Let us know your thoughts by leaving a comment.
