Woodbridge Road in Guildford closed after elderly man hit by car

AN ELDERLY man has been taken to hospital with head injuries after being hit by a car in Guildford.

Several police patrol cars and an ambulance were in attendance at Woodbridge Road in Guildford following the collision, involving a red Ford Focus, at 4.40pm on Tuesday (October 16).
The man, who is in his late 80s, was taken to Royal Surrey Hospital by ambulance crews for treatment to head injuries, which were not thought to be life threatening.
The road was closed until 8.45pm while officers carried out an investigation into the incident. Drivers were advised to find an alternative route.
