As the three main political parties publish ‘green manifestos’ ahead of the upcoming election, Vines of Guilford BMW has some green news of its own.
This month the government introduced a first year Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) designed to encourage drivers to choose cars with lower CO2 emissions. First year VED, more commonly known as road tax, favour cars with lower carbon emissions. Those emitting 130g/km or less will pay nothing for their first year’s tax.
Vines of Guildford BMW is proud to announce that BMW take the lead when it comes to vehicles which fall below or equal the 130g/km threshold having 26 more models than Audi and an impressive 46 more than Mercedes-Benz. Now 21% of the BMW range qualifies for one years free tax, offering drivers the opportunity to save money on their road tax and enjoy further economic savings of running a more fuel efficient vehicle.
This emission reduction by BMW is a result of its award winning EfficientDynamics programme which incorporates a wide variety of fuel-saving and emissions-reducing measures across the whole vehicle range as standard.
