GUILDFORD folk are being invited to take a trip down memory lane and be transported back to the 1950s and 60s at a Ratpack event at a bar in the town next month (February, 2013).
Jamie Sinatra will be singing songs made famous by The Ratpack at Bar des Arts on Thursday, February 21 from 8pm.
Sara Burks, Co-owner of Bar des Arts, which is located opposite the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Millbrook, said: “We are looking forward to seeing Jamie perform at the bar during our tribute evening, which we’ve called ‘Come fly with me’. He will be entertaining the audience with a selection of hits from music legends Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Junior.”
Jamie has performed his tribute act at bars and jazz clubs across the country and has also appeared in several West End shows and films.
Sara added: “Jamie is a brilliant solo singer so it will be a real treat for everyone to hear his tribute to the world’s most popular entertainers. Jamie also performs hits by more contemporary artists such as Jamie Cullum and Michael Bublé.
“Tickets for the tribute evening will cost £10 per person. Booking is essential and can be done by calling the bar on 01483 453227.”
Bar des Arts is a café by day and a wine and cocktail bar by night. A range of wine, beers, cocktails and soft drinks are available to purchase, along with tapas. The bar hosts a variety of events and exhibitions, including live music, dance performances, open mic nights and many more.
