GUILDFORD singer-songwriter Emma Stevens is looking for the next big act to play in an evening of live music at a bar in the town next month (November, 2012).
Emma will be hosting the Emma and Friends event at Bar des Arts, which is located opposite the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Millbrook on Wednesday, November 7 from 8pm.
Emma said: “Guildford is full of talented musicians and I am looking for people to play at the next Emma and Friends event on November 7. The event has proved extremely popular in the past and it is a great way for people to discover new talent.
“Anyone is welcome to come along to the evening to either take to the stage or just to enjoy the music in the audience. I will also be performing on the night.”
Emma trained classically on the piano and cello throughout her childhood and went on to study Guitar and Performance at The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. After finishing college she was asked to write and perform on the album for Britain’s Got Talent finalist Andrew Muir.
Sara Burks, Co-owner of Bar des Arts, said: “We have had some amazing performers take part in the Emma and Friends event in the past and we are looking forward to welcoming some of them back alongside some new artists.
“We are always on the lookout for new musical acts to perform in our regular live music slots at the bar so it is a great way for us to talent spot and book new artists.”
The next Emma and Friends event takes place on Wednesday, November 7 from 8pm. The final Emma and Friends of the year will run on Wednesday, December 5.
