BLOW away the January blues at Bar des Arts at the end of this month (January, 2014) with an evening of jazz.

The Jack Noke Jazz Collective will be playing at Bar des Arts, which is located opposite the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Millbrook, on Friday, January 31 from 8pm.

Sara Burks, Co-owner of Bar des Arts, said: "We're hosting a great night of smooth tunes performed by our favourite jazz band, the Jack Noke Jazz Collective.

"The band has performed at the bar many times in the past and they're extremely popular with our audiences. They're full of energy and passion for jazz music and it's always a thrill to hear them play."

Keyboard player, Jack Noke, who became frontman of the collective in October, 2013, will be joined by a variety of musicians on the night to play jazz standards, funk and soul.

Sara added: "We hope lots of people come along for a fabulous night of jazz music. The collective's music always puts people into good spirits."

Tickets for the night will cost £5 per person. Booking for the night is essential and can be done by calling the bar on 01483 453227.

Bar des Arts is a café by day and cocktail bar by night. A range of wine, beers, cocktails and soft drinks are available to purchase, along with meat or cheese platters. The bar hosts a variety of events and exhibitions, including live music, dance performances, open mic nights and many more.
