PEOPLE from Guildford are next month (February, 2013) being invited to wind down after a week of work with an evening of free acoustic music at a bar in the town.

Lui Matthews and Jonny Moody will be playing a selection of acoustic rock and pop songs at Bar des Arts on Friday, February 1 from 8pm.

Sara Burks, Co-owner of Bar des Arts, which is located opposite the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Millbrook, said: “Lui and Jonny played at the bar in November (2012) and were a huge hit with our customers so we are thrilled they are performing once again.

“They are extremely talented and will be entertaining the audience with a variety of acoustic rock and pop songs as well as classic tunes from the 1960s. It is set to be a great evening and there will be something to suit everyone.”

The Guildford-based duo formed in 2011 after performing in a function band together.

Lui and Jonny have been writing and playing music since their childhood and have performed at a variety of festivals, pubs and clubs around the country and abroad.

Entry is free but booking is advisable and can be done by calling the bar on 01483 453227.

Bar des Arts is a café by day and a wine and cocktail bar by night. A range of wine, beers, cocktails and soft drinks are available to purchase, along with tapas. The bar hosts a variety of events and exhibitions, including live music, dance performances, open mic nights and many more.
