homelessness

Hi,I would like to write and tell people about the housing situation. We were recently issued with a section 21 to move out of our rented accomadation after 11yrs.We have been renting from Albury estates. This section 21 was brought in in 2006 which gives the landlord the right to take back his property when he wants. The trouble is there is no thought to how the people given this notice will get himself into another property,as the rentals nowadays are so high and very much unaffordable. There is also the high costs of moving all your belongings. We personally do not have any money to move with, and have had to try the council housing route only to be told they have no housing, and have been doing a thing called gate keeping, due to this fact. They have told us they will help to pay a deposit on another property, but if you look on any property site they all tend to state no DSs,for which you cant blame them in a sense due to the amount of trouble they get with this. This though the landlords also state no children, and pets. How many people have children and pets out there? The citizens advice and the guildford action for families have been inundated with homeless families and are not coping with the amount coming through. The housing situation is dia. The stress of this is utterly unfair on children,we have four ourselves and this situation has brought untold illness to our children and onto me as their mother.I feel the worst of this is that the Duke of Northumberlands biggest charity is homelessness, yet they go around causing homelessness themselves. We havent been the first and im sure will not be the last.
