Students across Guildford have been celebrating another highly successful A-level results day.
-
Students will find out their A-level results today.
Competition this year for places is as tough as ever before with 673,000 students applying for just 350,000 spots.
The town is also set to be filled with students in the evening as they head to pubs and clubs to celebrate.
Here's a breakdown for some schools in particular:
George Abbot School - Around 39% of entries achieved an A or A* grade.
Guildford County School - 22% of entries achieved an A or A* grade.
Royal Grammar School - Around 41% of all grades achieved were an A*. Just under 41% of all grades achieved were an A grade.
St. Peters Catholic Comprehensive School - A 100% pass rate with 81% of students getting an A*-C grade. 21% of those grades were A or A*.
Students who want to go through clearing should call UCAS on 0871 468 0 468. If you just want general advice regarding your results you can reach the Exam Results Helpline for free on 0808 100 8000.
We'll keep this news story updated as the day goes on and at some point we'll have a few specific results from schools. In the meantime, sister site This Is Surrey has a live blog covering the whole of the county.
We'd also like to hear from students. What were your grades like? Were you happy with what you got? What's next for you after today? Is anyone going down the clearing route? Do please leave a comment.
