Brown's Gaffe

The big name papers are already calling it "Duffygate", a little over the top perhaps but Gordon Brown forgetting to take his radio mike off and calling one of his own lifelong supporters a "bigoted woman" seems to be the most exciting thing so far in this election.

Will it change things?  Probably not, but it may well reinforce what a poor choice for PM Brown is.  The man clearly cannot think on his feet and doesn't even have respect for the very people who were ready and willing to put him back in power.

After coming third in the last two leadership debates you'd have thought he'd be a little more interested in improving his public image.

Not to worry though, he's been to see the woman he insulted and offered an apology.

That makes it all OK.
