The Prime Minister David Cameron has been open about his views on the fox hunting ban and has recently confirmed that he plans to hold a vote on whether to lift the ban.

Should the fox hunting ban be lifted?
The Liberal Democrat Leader and deputy PM is on record as being against lifting the fox hunting ban but has agreed to the holding of a free vote in Commons.
The law banning hunting with hounds was brought in by Labour in 2005 and has been widely criticised for being both unfair and unenforceable. David Cameron said "“I always thought the ban was a mistake because I think it is very difficult to enforce.
"I think it's somewhere where the criminal law shouldn't go. But it will be a free vote.
"The
fox population has to be controlled. Every farmer will tell you that,
and every farmer will tell you that the methods now being used –
gassing, shooting, trapping and snaring, are very cruel. The case on
animal welfare grounds for the hunting ban I've always thought was very
weak."
How do you feel about the ban? Should people be allowed to hunt if they want? Or should fox hunting be relegated to history along with **** fighting and bear baiting?

This is a power thing nothing to do with class or culling fox population as they only hunt limited amount of foxes ie 1 and also are known to have to breed them or at least encourage vixen breeding, so there is enough to hunt,so I do not take on board this rubbish about helping farmers....
A lot of farmers are against fox hunting as they hate the hounds riding rough shod over there land lets face it 75 percent of us the British public who put these MPs where they are and the RSPCA think it is cruel we can't all be wrong, it is an old outmoded tradition for a few posh people and some country folk who want to be posh people, there is no way on earth that if they put this to the public vote it would go through...We should lobby our local MPs to fight the corner of the British animal lover, these are our Foxes and our wildlife not just theirs they will turn the countryside red with the blood of these poor little creatures including stags deer rabbit not to mention the culling of badgers...Almost ALL CONSERVATIVE MPs but 2 are FOR FOX HUNTING/BLOODSPORTS so if it was left up to them the ban will be repealed If You care DON"T LET THEM GET THERE WAY.....

ReportCouldn't agree more. It is a ridiculous law and the more time they spend trying to enforce it the less time they spend trying to catch the yobs who tore down my campaign poster.
