Jamie Oliver's newest

restaurant opened in Guildford recently and has been attracting rave

reviews ever since.

Despite some teething problems with the pager

system to let you know when your table is ready the restaurant is

proving to be a successful addition to the city centre.

The

restaurant openly champions local suppliers and even sourced some of

its stoneware from Grayshott Pottery, just down the A3. Situated at

the bottom of North Street by the entrance to the Friary Centre in

what used to be HSBC bank, Jamie's Italian serves good food at

reasonable prices and if you want a table you're going to have to

queue.

It looks like Jamie is here to stay.

I have just had lunch there. It's dire. The food is overpriced and the staff are disinterested. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I actually managed a table and boy was it great. The food, service, standards all more than what I expected, give it a go!

I've been meaning to give this place a go for a while. I've heard very good things about it.

That's a good sign, if you do manage to get in maybe you could do a proper review?

I tried to get in there the other day and the queue went on for miles.
