Knives and knife crime

There's been a lot of
-
A handmade folding pocket knife
talk in the press recently about knives and knife crime and how we
should try and stop people carrying knives. I think it is all
rubbish and that we should all carry a knife wherever we go. I
certainly do.
Did you know it isn't
illegal? As long as it is a folding knife and the blade is three
inches or less you don't even need a reason to have it. You can carry any knife at all (as long as it isn't an automatic opening knife) if you have a reason. Something
like a Swiss Army Knife is perfect, it fits in your pocket like it was made to, because it was. Maybe it's just because of what
I do for a living but I don't think we should let the government tell
us what we can and can't do. When I was a scout I carried a knife, I
was told to! Now kids are all told that knives are weapons and that
they aren't allowed them. Knives aren't weapons, they are tools to
do a job. It is the attitude of the person we should try and change,
not just the fact that they carry a knife.
I'd like to see
everyone in Guildford carrying a pocket knife. They're useful,
they're not illegal, and mostly it is our right!

The only reason I don't have one with me is that I lose them faster than I can buy them. That being said I've had the currrent EDC for almost six months now!

ReportI agree. I always carry a pocket knife, and have since I was a boy. It's a very useful tool.
