Olivo Ristorante in Quarry Street is a great restaurant that serves truly authentic Italian cuisine. The decor is warm and inviting, and the service very friendly and attentive.

The Olivio is a really nice place to come for a family meal, or with a small group of friends. There is nothing fussy about it, just a nice cosy atmosphere with attentive staff and some lovely food. Again, there is nothing fancy about the food, but it is wonderfully tasty and filling, and you get the impression that its the kind of thing Italians eat every day in Italy. Well worth an evening out.

The Olivio is definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in Guildford. Its charm is largely in its atmosphere it is quite small and appears family run, so is thoroughly authentically Italian (even down to the waiters and waitresses.) The atmosphere is quite nicely cozy and slightly on the posh side, so it is particularly good as a dating spot. If you manage to get a table upstairs or outside then you will definitely have the nicest experience the upstairs in particular reeks of charm, with its low ceilings and wonky floors, and its the ideal place to have a nice meal away from the weekend crowds. The all-important food doesnt disappoint either. The pizzas in particular are excellent and are definitely homemade and delicious. Also, the seafood dishes are all presented in a particularly artful manner, and of course everything tastes great. The only drawback can be the price, it being slightly higher than most other restaurants in the area, but you definitely get what you pay for.
