From this Friday (1st April), passes will no longer be available to collect from district and borough offices as well as renewals as power shifts from local boroughs to the Surrey County Council. This will affect more than 100,000 travellers across the whole county.
In Guildford, this means that they will be only be available at the Guildford Library, which is at the top of North Street.
The terms of the bus pass will also have some changes. From next month pensioners will be allowed free bus travel from 9.30am to 11pm. Disabled passengers will experience unlimited travel.
What do you think of the news? Is the new time constraints for
pensioners an issue? Are you happy that this has been transfered to the
library? Leave a comment below with your thoughts.
